We are pleased to announce the latest release of SFTPPlus, version 3.1.0 which adds recursive capabilities to the monitor service and improves the audit capabilities for our SFTP and SCP client and server side protocols.
It also fixed a major issue in the SFTP / SCP service to allow the service to identify itself using DSA ssh host keys.
Starting with this release, Unix and Linux users can reconfigure the server side service to listen on ports below 1024. In the previous version port below 1024 were only available at product startup and not while the product was running.
Here are the major changes:
- Added support for recursive monitor services.
- A dedicated event with ID 30005 is now used when an unknown SSH message id is requested.
- A dedicated event with ID 30006 is now used for internal server error while processing the SSH requests.
- The SFTP service can now be identified using DSA (ssh-dss) SSH host keys. It no longer ignores the configured DSA keys.
- On Linux and Unix, when running under a dedicated service account, you can now use port below 1024 for the file transfer service.
These are just the highlights of this release. For more details, including the list of fixed defects, please see the full release notes.
